Film Spin

Rolling stones, rolling wheels, and a rolling camera. Today I made a short clip of skateboarding with one of our finest, Drew Perni III. From 3:45 to 5:00 I filmed both Drew and our friend Alex skating on the strip, a smoothly paved walkway starting from the bottom of the student center staircase and ending in front of the science library. It was definitely something I haven't done in a very long time because of the absent tools. I needed the equipment for one thing, the camera was broken and yet was still able to film, but only blindly. Both the LCD and the viewfinder broke while filming such such things as skateboarding, snowboarding, and escaping from the police. You'd expect me to say that it was finally fixed when really it wasn't, that's why I gave it the nickname "Ooch." The collar explains it, and so does the film. This also got me thinking. We all take damage, and as a result we heal it's a natural thing. After a fall we pick ourselves up, eventually building up a tolerance, and beatings of the body take different forms, shapes, and sizes and we still tough it out. I myself have taken such a beating over the years I have tentinitis in my left knee and countless scars, some with stories and some I cannot recall. Ooch is like me, and I am like Ooch. We do the same things. We keep filming, moving, ticking, acting, reacting, and laughing.

If anyone wants to watch the film, I'll play it after class tomorrow.

Peace, prosperity, and a little paper
